STUDENT PROMOTION POLICY 2026-27
Promotion to the next class is granted to the student on the basis of his/her overall performance during the academic session. Hence the importance of regularity in attendance and work is imperative. The general criterion for promotion is that the student has grasped the subject matter of his/her present class sufficiently well to follow the syllabus of the next higher classes easily.
Nursery - UKG
No formal examination. Promotion to the next class is based on monthly assessment and performance in the class.
Promotion to the next class is based on the performance in Weekly Tests / Grading Tests conducted in the academic year.
Classes I to V
Promotion to the next class is granted on the basis of his / her overall performance during the academic session and the performance through continuous evaluation system.
Classes VI to XII
As per CBSE norms and guidelines. The following basic criteria to be followed for promotion in the Annual Examination 2026-27
1. Basic Promotion Criteria:
At least 33% marks in theory and practical separately for class XI.
- Pass in 5 subjects – Promoted to class XII
- Compartment Examination and detained policy (As per CBSE rule)
2. Absence in Practical Exams:
If a student does not appear for the practical exams, he/she will be treated as fail in practical. The students will have to appear the practical examination which will be scheduled by the school on prior intimation only for valid reasons of absence.
1. The Monday Tests Score is out of 25 marks.
2. This score will be included (given weightage) in the total theory score in the term result for all classes.
3. The final theory score total (for grade XI & XII) will vary depending on the subject:
• For subjects with 70 marks theory, the total theory score will be calculated out of 95 marks (70 + 25).
• For subjects with 80 marks theory, the total theory score will be calculated out of 105 marks (80 + 25).
4. The Monday tests Score is added directly to the theory marks to compute the final total in grade XI & XII.
